A young
lady, let’s call her Simi, was diagnosed with a hole in the heart. She was
perplexed. A hole in the heart? Where was she going to get fund for treatment
or operation? Simi was not well-to-do, and the family fortune did not amount to
much. She had seen other people with such medical predicament take to
soliciting, through the media, especially TV, for help by way of donation for
the treatment, usually abroad. This of course, is increasingly becoming popular
with some Nigerians who find themselves in such situation. “Were they
successful with raising the fund? If they were, how many of such treatments or
operations were successful? What of post operation checkup? The battery of questions
kept running through Simi’s mind. The prospects were frightening. Would she
die? But again, why a hole in the heart? Why her? These thoughts occupied her
mind while she lay on the bed in the night until sleep eclipsed her.
In the dream
state, she was at a scene in past life. A young boy, she was, and bearing an
iron ball, much like a Shot put. The boy was attempting to throw it. As he
managed to carry it up and moved his hand for the throw, he heard a crack in
his chest area. Immediately he let go of the ball; and as he managed to enter
the house, the dream ended. As she woke up, being already inclined to spiritual
matters, she realized that what she is suffering in this lifetime stems from
that lifetime.
Simi may
have had so many successive lifetimes- life after life, life after death, or
reincarnation, after that lifetime when the incident happened. And she may have
suffered some ailments in some of those lifetimes as a result of that incident.
In each of those post incident lifetimes, she may have used whatever medical or
healing means that is available to treat it, like she would have done in this
present lifetime, with the hope that it is has been cured. But all that only
took care of the effect. The shadow.
A thing is
never cured completely until one comes face-to-face with, or has a complete
acknowledgement of, its cause; and the effect depth and breadth removed. Most
importantly, learned the lesson in it.
Simi
thereafter, followed up with what was appropriate and the situation was taken
care of: root, cause, and effect.
Beyond
medicine.
Let’s take
another experience. Jonah, that’s not his real name, was having internal heat.
It usually occurs at the lower leg, around the calf. Each time it starts, Jonah
would start feeling tired and weak, unable to concentrate on whatever he was
doing.
At that time
he was working in a reputable company and so had access to the best hospitals
in Lagos, courtesy of his employer’s staff medical policy. He went through
several hospitals, one after the other, in the hope of finding a cure, to no
avail. At the last place, they did an X-ray, as usual, with this giant machine
such as he has not seen at any other place. This was followed by a scan. Jonah
was hopeful that, at last, a cure would be found; but to his surprise, he was
told when he went for the result that they could not find anything. Jonah was
utterly devastated, and to say the least, hopeless. Of course, before this last
hospital, he also transversed the length and breadth of other healing streams
in Nigeria, including divination, but nothing was found. The possibility of his
company sending him abroad was near impossible. Jonah was distraught, as he lay
in bed that night, wondering what next. “It’s psychological”, the most senior
doctor in the hospital had told him. But Jonah knew better. It is his body.
Suddenly a feeling came over him. He didn’t care anymore; and wished it would
all end that moment. It was in that state that he slept off.
In no time,
he was in the dream world, looking into his body from the top of his shoulder down.
Jonah was X-raying himself! He was seeing every bone, every artery, every vein
and all in his body and their connections. Close to his heart he observed a
lump of something, blackish and jellylike. While in the dream he felt that that
something was clogging the flow of blood.
Jonah knew
instinctively, upon awakening, that the lump was not natural to his body. He
was convinced that the blackish lump was the cause of his ailment.
Later in the
day, he headed back to the hospital. There he narrated his experience to the most
senior doctor who had been attending to him. The doctor was baffled and called
in the medical director of the hospital, who also listened to Jonah repeat his
experience. The two doctors confessed that the experience was strange. “So what
do you want us to do? the medical director asked. “Just give me anything that
could help dissolve that lump” Jonah told them; adding, “I think it’s the
accumulation of the tar from the cigarette I have been smoking”. They did. Till
today, Jonah has not had a recurrence of that internal heat.
Had it not
been for the dream, the ailment would have been with Jonah till today. It may
also have given rise to a tumor- may be cancer of anywhere. Or it may have even
seen the end of Jonah in this life.
The orthodox
medical system dabbles into this sort of healing through regressive therapy. But
from the spiritual perspective, this is achieved through the singing of
mantras. One of such mantric sound is the HU. It is said that its vibratory
rate encompass the vibratory rate of the universe. At that level, it has
the capacity to link you with the deepest part of yourself; and in that
position, all miracles or healing become possible. This is the way of spiritual healing; as said in the introductory part, How drugs and healing are functions of vibration - Introduction.
These two
real life experiences show that life gives the tools to connect the dots of
our life. However, most times we choose to ignore them, perhaps because of the
advancement in science. Or we give preeminence to one area through the vanity
of our profession. The healing field is only holistic when we take to a
cooperative approach among the different streams of healing available, instead
of the my-own-is-better approach, as is the case now in Nigeria among the medical
practitioners.
